We ate here three times while we were in the area and I think that says it all! Friendly staff and a good choice on the menu. All proper freshly cooked and generous portions. Really loved the Thai Green vegetable curry and the chicken stir fry but hubby had the more traditional burger and chips type meals and these were just as good, all homemade. Desserts were good and on the large side so couldn't always finish them. Great pub to eat at so would definitely visit again if we were in the area.

Stayed here overnight on our Dales Way walk, Very good Yorkshire style service (very direct), good beer selection, good pub quality food (freshly made not frozen rubbish), excellent breakfast. Well refurbished. Great location for a stopover on the Dales Way walk. Slightly more expensive than other stops we used.
Lovely food in great surroundings , staff were welcoming and generally exceptional ! Had a curried parsnip soup starter followed by a superb steak pie . Perfect location for a wide selection of walks.
My husband and I recently enjoyed a delightful stay at The Buck Inn in Buckden, UK. We were at the end of a two-week walking vacation and in the mood for some pampering. The Buck Inn certainly delivered. Our very spacious room had a grand view of the nearby ridge and a tray of goodies to greet us. The large bathroom with its big walk-in shower was another welcome amenity. Our meals were generous and delicious, with menu selections that made it hard to decide what to have. The inn’s public areas are larger than we’ve come to expect in an older inn and offer a variety of seating for a snack or just relaxing. Every staff member we encountered was friendly, helpful, and informative. We have stayed in a number of country inns over the years, but The Buck Inn now ranks as our favorite.
Excellent food and accommodation. Stayed here for a night but absolutely stopping by next time we’re in the area. Had an absolutely beautiful dinner here, and breakfast the next morning—and despite the fact that we arrived a bit late, we were still given very attentive service. The room was very clean and comfortable, slept really well. What more can one ask for? Perfect location as well. Thank you
Didn’t actually stay overnight but just dropped in for lunch. Best beef sandwich ever and also fish and mushy pea sandwich. Great place. Log fires and great people.
